Greg Kyllo was elected as the MLA for Shuswap in 2013, 2017 and again in 2020. He currently serves as Deputy Caucus Whip and the Official Opposition Critic for Labour. 

Kyllo has served as a member of the Select Standing Committee on Aboriginal Affairs. He has also served as the Parliamentary Secretary for the BC Jobs Plan to the Minister of Jobs, Tourism, and Skills Training, and a member of Treasury Board, Cabinet Committee on Core Review, Cabinet Committee on Strong Economy, Select Standing Committee on Public Accounts and the Premier’s Priority and Planning Committee. 

Prior to being elected as MLA, Kyllo was the President and CEO of Twin Anchors Marine/TA Structures for 24 years. 

His interest in politics began after watching his father, an active member in local politics, serve as both councillor and mayor of Taylor. Greg Kyllo sat on the Sicamous District Council in 2011 and was appointed deputy mayor. He was also the chair of the Finance Committee and served on the Sicamous Economic Development Board. 

Kyllo was born in Fort St. John, living in the community of Taylor before settling in Sicamous in 1978. He attended Parkview Elementary and Eagle River Secondary in Sicamous before continuing his studies at Okanagan College in Salmon Arm. 

Kyllo and his wife Georgina continue to make Sicamous their home. They have four daughters and six grandchildren.
